The Veracity and Authority of Scripture: Why we can trust God and the Scripture He has given.

During this weekend long event, we looked at why we can know God’s word is trustworthy and
what it means when we say that it has authority. Let’s stand fast for the truthfulness and
authority of Scripture!

Session 2 – Sabbath Morning

  • Zoom session with panel and discussion – Old Testament prophets, Jesus and the New Testament writers – what was their view of Scripture and its authority? How should their perspective mold our view of Scripture today?

Session 3 Sabbath Afternoon

  • Regular Church worship services at Shiloh Church of God 7th day. – A sermon on why trusting the authority of Scripture is important to our faith. Trusting the authority of Scripture begins with understanding who God is.

Session 4 – Sunday Morning

  • Zoom session with panel and discussion – Bible apologetics:  How to share that the Bible is trustworthy. Equipping ourselves to provide answers to questions such as, “What about apparent contradictions in Scripture?” or “Wasn’t the Old Testament changed by early Christians?” or “How can we say the Bible contains the right books?”, etc.
