True salvation is not something to appeal only to unthoughtful emotionalism; nor is it dependent upon a suppression of the intellect. Involvement in true Christianity is exciting, consoling and assuring, and proper relationship with Christ requires the process of conversion. Steps in this process are clearly set forth in the Bible. These steps will bring you to a new way of acting, looking at, and dealing with the old behavior, which in turn then changes it—conforming into a new standard, and in line with Christ’s characteristics.
