Basic Roots: Types and Shadows of Ministrations

The years of Christ’s personal ministry on earth, was really a transition period—from the law of works given by Moses, to the Gospel of Grace by Jesus Christ. Grace was preached by Christ during that time, but the types and shadows of the Mosaic Law did not officially end until they met their fulfillment in the death of Christ on the cross. Jesus was the Lamb of God who did what the law of rites and animal sacrifices—remedies and penalties could not do. The “added” law of works had served its purpose, “to bring” people unto Christ, that they might be justified by faith. This quarterly has been revised from 1964 and 1980.
